The AD series, featuring compact size, light weight and
easy-mount, is a line of speed dome camera for indoor
surveillance. These dome cameras can do a number of useful
functions that are normally found in expensive PTZ speed
domes, such as 360º panning range, 90º
for tilting, 64 presets, auto-pan and alarm I/O functions. The
AD speed dome cameras share the same control and communication
protocols as our SSD and QMD series, allowing themselves to be
mixed in a system together with SSD or QMD.
The AD camera has two types of connectivity -- traditional BNC
and quick RJ-45. It is the same way as any PTZ camera when
installing the AD with BNC, but the RJ-45 provides much more
convenience because only one Cat-5 cable is required.
To accommodate different situation caused by cable length,
three sets of connectors are provided as options.
All the AD cameras use Sony Color CCD. The AD-500 is specially
equipped with IR LEDs, which move along with lens during
panning and tilting. AD-500 has one more option that, when IR
LEDs are on, image will turn to black-white mode, which
reduces color noise dramatically in low-light condition ---
great performane for data reduction during DVR recording and
network surveillance. |

Guide
for choosing right connector when using Cat-5 cable:
■ For distance less than 50 meters (150 feet), use
connector RJ-100 and get power from console directly
■ For distance between 50 to 150M (150 to 450 ft),
use connector RJ-260DC,; Local power (DC12V) is
required.
■ For distance over 150M (450 ft), use VT-300 which
has separate DC in for local power and video
amplifier to pre-boost video level
■ Suggested maximum distance is 300 meters (900
feet) for using Cat-5 cable |
